Top 10 reasons you know you are having cosmetic surgery abroad…
You might not imagine it can happen, but why even take the chance. Its your looks we are talking about here, and that is something we should all take seriously.
We all know that the best quality plastic surgery takes place in the good old US of A. From removing crows feet to breast augmentation, you really ought to get it done at home.
So how can you be certain that this will work you are having done is actually happening where you think it is happening. Are you completely certain that someone hasn’t kidnapped you and whisked you off to a foreign land? It can happen people!
Here are some simple pointers that will help you find out if Uncle Sam is doing the stitchin… If any of these things are apparent, start hitchin!!!
- The taxi driver taking you to the clinic is wearing a sombrero.
- The surgeon is wearing a sombrero!
- Someone settling a bill in the reception area has walked in pushing a wheelbarrow full of 100,000 denomination notes.
- The nurse is sterilising instruments by running them under the tap and then wiping them on her skirt.
- When you go to the bathroom, you notice that the water runs down the plug hole the ‘wrong way’.
- There’s an elephant looking in through the window!
- There is a large black hairy spider crawling up the side of the couch towards you. Wait a minute. That’s the surgeon’s hand!
- Whilst waiting for your appointment, people keep asking you if you want to drink something called ‘tea’.
- There is something strange about the surgeon’s teeth but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Oh, that’s it. They aren’t perfectly straight, or even blindingly white.
- After the surgery is over you just want a big Mac, but they are selling something called a ‘Royale with Cheese’…
If you notice any of these subtle indications then you should check carefully where you are and under no circumstances should you allow anybody who just happens to be wearing a white coat start prodding and poking…
PS, you know this is not serious right!? There are many fabulous clinics in other countries around the world these days. Many are world-renowned and can offer cosmetic surgery prices at far cheaper rates than similar establishments back home. Ok , I am omitting a lot of other costs at this point as this article was really just a gentle primer to remind you that if you are thinking of going abroad for cosmetic surgery then remember ‘other’ countries can be very different places. Take this thought into account when making any decisions and be prepared for the possible culture shock that may meet you on arrival.
