Experts now say that the fraternal genes may be just as responsible for the condition.

The typical result of this condition is a complete loss of hair on top. Hair usually remains on the back and sides of the head. This area of uninterrupted hair growth is used as a harvest area for the follicles that will be implanted using a surgical procedure. The follicles that have been transplanted will continue to grow as usual for several years into the future.

This method is extremely effective but you will pay for the success rate. The average man can spend many thousands of dollars to complete the entire process. A total hair restoration cost of $30,000 is not unheard of. Men with high profile jobs will often go with this kind of extensive treatment. Other cases can be handled by just filling in a bald spot or two and the bill is much more reasonable.

The surgery may be expensive but it really is the only way to restore hair growth in an area where the hair is thinning or missing.
