Get Sexy Abs With Stomach Liposuction

Losing fat on your midsection can be a huge struggle no matter who you are.  You have had the fat build up from inactivity, poor diet or genetics, but no matter what the reason stomach fat is unattractive and unwanted.  Plus, it is a health risk as well, putting us at risk of diabetes, heart disease and liver disease as well as other things. Even when we take control of our diets and exercise many of us can still have problems getting rid of stomach fat.

Even those that are in amazing physical shape and condition who have very developed strong abs sometimes can’t seem to get rid of the fat deposits over their abs.  It is just such situations that have caused many people to think that stomach liposuction is a great idea.

Stomach liposuction is performed by cosmetic surgeons to get rid of unwanted fat covering the abs using tiny instruments called cannulas.  The surgeon makes small cuts in the patients’ midsection, inserts the cannula in them and sucks out the fat deposits covering the abs.  Stomach liposuction is now popular because of the fast effective results people have gotten.  It usually takes just a few hours as an outpatient procedure.   Having a successful procedure means a flatter sexier stomach and a happier person thanks to the improvement in their appearance.  Stomach liposuction is now the most often performed liposuction procedure in the U.S.

While stomach liposuction is quite safe with very few dangers or complications there are some things to think about when first considering liposuction surgery.  First and most important is that the liposuction is done by a reputable cosmetic surgeon with plenty of experience doing stomach liposuctions.  Take your time and research carefully when looking for a cosmetic surgeon; while complications are rare with stomach liposuction they do still occur.

It’s important to research your surgeon’s background and history as well to be certain that there are no complaints on their record.  For best results you want to choose board certified surgeons and if possible get referrals from the surgeons past patients.  Finding a surgeon who has had experience performing stomach liposuction can be important as well.  Finally, take the time to visit the surgeons’ office and get a tour of where the procedures are done to make sure everything is clean and up to date and his staff is professional.

After the stomach liposuction is done you still have responsibility for proper recovery from the procedure.  You’ll get a list of instructions from the doctor after your stomach liposuction and it is your job to follow them to the letter.  Following the doctors’ instructions will mean a faster recovery and the best results.  Follow the guidelines for physical activity after liposuction, all the dietary restrictions and the required steps for wound care.  When you go to your post-surgery follow up visits your surgeon will be able to tell quite easily if you haven’t been following all the instructions properly.

Choosing a proper surgeon, having realistic expectations and following through with the necessary post surgical care will help make your stomach liposuction successful.

What Is Abdominoplasty Surgery – A Fancy Name For A Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty is also known as tummy tuck surgery and you may have heard it referred to by that name.  No matter what you call it, abdominoplasty surgery is a popular cosmetic surgery procedure performed to flatten the stomach by realigning the abdominal muscles and getting rid of any extra fat and skin.  To see if abdominoplasty is for you review some of the most common questions and answers about tummy tucks or abdominoplasty below.

Who Is A Candidate For Abdominoplasty Surgery?

The following characteristics are those that a good candidate for abdominoplasty will have.  No major medical problems that would put you at risk during the surgery.  The candidate is a reasonable weight and has been at that weight for a minimum of 1 year prior to undergoing abdominoplasty.  You are a non-smoker or willing to quit smoking for several months before and after the surgery.  Finally, you have weak abdominal muscles and excess skin on and around your belly.

What To Expect During Abdominoplasty Surgery?

General anesthesia is used for abdominoplasty so you can expect to be unconscious with no memory of what happens during the surgery.  The surgeon will make an incision in the shape of a smile across your lower abdomen from one hip bone to the other.  This incision is made low on your abdomen so the scar is easy to camouflage.  The surgeon then peels back the skin to tighten the abdominal muscles and reposition them if necessary.  The final step is to remove the excess skin and suture the remaining skin back into place.

What About My Abdominoplasty Recovery?

Recovery from abdominoplasty will be different for each person, but in general you should expect at least 2-3 weeks before you can return to work. You may also need the help of another person during the first few days to assist with changing your dressings, bathing and movement.

Full recovery takes from 6-8 weeks for most people although some patients will find that it takes several weeks longer than this.  The healing is closely monitored by the cosmetic surgeon and they will let you know when you can return to your normal activities.

What Results Will I Get From Abdominoplasty?

Each person is different and your cosmetic surgeon can give you some idea of what results you should expect in your case.  If everything goes perfectly your tummy will be flat and free of bulges and your skin will be tighter and younger looking.  Many people also report a lessening of old stretch marks.

Abdominoplasty results are permanent so long as you don’t have any major weight changes.  Some things that will affect your abdominoplasty results negatively are pregnancy, massive weight gain or loss and ageing.

No matter who you are or what you reasons, you’ll find that abdominoplasty surgery is likely to deliver if you want a flat and younger looking midsection.

Don’t Think That Liposuction For Men Is A Rare Occurrence

Not so long ago cosmetic surgery and liposuction were considered something that women only did.  These days thanks to technological advancements and new techniques having cosmetic surgery is easier and safer than it ever was.  Maybe that’s the reason there that now large numbers of guys are trying their hand at cosmetic surgery.  According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons liposuction for men accounted for 11% (or 33,000 ) of all liposuction procedures in 2007.

Men have liposuction done for the same reasons as ladies do, to get a trim and sexy body that looks great on the beach, in the boardroom and in the bedroom.  It is still true that men lose weight more easily than the ladies, however they do have fat deposits that will resist any and all efforts of exercise and diet.  That’s those love handles that no man loves.

Love handles are one reason that abdominal liposuction for men has increased immensely in the last few years.  No guy wants a roll of fat around his midsection and for many men the only way they can get those wonderful six pack abs is by having a liposuction procedure.

Perhaps even more popular for the guys is facial liposuction.  In this case there’s really no alternative because there’s really no other way to get rid of fat on the neck, chin and jaw.  It’s hard to believe, but several ounces of fat taken from a man’s chin and jawline will make him look years younger.  Everyone wants to look younger so now men are getting liposuction to slim their jaw line and rid themselves of double chins.

Gynecomastia is another area where liposuction for men has also been a great help.  Gynecomastia is when excess fat on the chest makes it appear as if a man has breasts.  As you can imagine this condition will seriously affect both a man’s self-confidence and his self-esteem.  Liposuction is being used successfully to remove excess fat and get rid of many men’s gynecomastia.

Liposuction fat removal is done with a tool called a cannula.  This is a thin pencil like tube that is really a vacuum and is used to suck fat from the targeted body part.  There are different liposuction techniques that are used depending on the amount of the deposited fat, the location on the body,  and the patient’s condition.

Liposuction is the only way to spot reduce fat and while the fat cells are permanently removed, if you can’t adopt to a new diet and exercise plan then new fat cells will form. This means that a healthy diet and exercise plan need to be adopted if you want to keep your new look after your liposuction surgery.

Keep in mind that liposuction for men is not a weight loss plan.  You should already be close to (within twenty pounds) of your final goal weight and ready to maintain that weight after your liposuction surgery.

As with any surgical procedure there are risks associated with liposuction.  Scarring, excessive tissue removal, bleeding and infection can occur, although they are very infrequent.  Minimize your own risk and research your doctor prior to your surgery.  Only work with surgeons who are licensed and board certified to perform liposuction procedures.  The surgeon should also have experience with liposuction for men.  When exercise and diet fail it’s time to see what liposuction can do to help you bring out the six pack.
