Get Lasting Cellulite Removal with RejuveSkin Plastic Surgery
Cellulite is a term that refers to the lumpy skin that is visible on many womens thighs and buttocks. It can also occur on the arms, stomach and even the neck. The condition is more common in females than men due to the genetic structure of womens fat, connective tissue and skin. The lumpy skin of cellulite is caused by the fat bulging from the honeycomb-like structure of the connective tissue just beneath the skin.
Plastic surgery is often used to treat cellulite. The most common surgical methods are cellulite lysing (where the connective tissue under the skin is cut) and fat injections (where fat is implanted under the skin). Traditionally, these surgical methods were used individually. However, a new surgical treatment called RejuveSkin utilizes and refines both these methods to achieve a superior result.
RejuveSkin uses a patented instrument known as a DermaSecter. This instrument is inserted under the skin in much the same manner as a liposuction secter. The blade on the end of the DermaSecter is used to cut the fibrous septae, which is the connective tissue that causes cellulite. A specially designed process is then used to inject fat tissue that was previously taken from the patient into the cellulite dents to smooth them out. The RejuveSkin procedure lasts up to 90 minutes.
The results from RejuveSkin are usually permanent. Most patients report cellulite reduction of 60 to 70 percent and 90 percent of patiens are happy with their outcome. Of course, with any surgical procedure, results will vary due to a patient’s individual circumstances, age and skin type.
It is important to make a distinction between RejuveSkin and liposuction. RejuveSkin is far less invasive than liposuction as it concentrates on the layer between the fat and skin. In contrast, liposuction targets the deep fat layer.
RejuveSkin cellulite removal surgery will cost about $4,000. It is currently available only in certified clinics around America.
