Factors to Consider When Getting Laser Hair Removal

There are many factors to consider when getting laser hair removal. Some of them are the size of the area that you want the hair removed from and how dense the hair is.  Let’s discuss the size of the area. The area will determine the cost.

If the area that is to be treated is larger, the technician will be charging more. A Larger area means that there is more hair to be removed. It will require more laser pulses to completely remove the unwanted hairs. This also means that more time will be consumed in removing the hairs. Given that the density of the hair is just the same, treatment on larger areas will really cost more compared to smaller areas.  The other factor to consider is the amount of hair density.

The areas that have more hair will obviously need more time to clear. There is only a particular amount of hair that a laser pulse can remove in a certain time.  More time will be spent for a thicker volume of hair compared to a thinner one, thus more laser pulses are required.  Number of sessions: Most patients will need 6 to 8 laser treatments. But this session will be of a month interval. This is to make sure that those unwanted body hairs are completely gone.

Treated area’s sensitivity, hair thickness and health of the hair are to be considered to predict the number of sessions needed to completely finish the treatment. The hair re growth is thinner compared to the original one. If the first hair is thick, it will require more sessions in order to totally make the hair invisible.  More sessions will obviously result to an increase in the cost of the laser hair removal.
