Cosmetic surgery is a sensitive and an expensive process and deciding whether to opt for it or not depends on the cosmetic surgery cost. The cost varies with the areas of the bodies that undergo surgery, types of cosmetic surgeries available and the time required for treatment. Moreover, while budgeting for cosmetic surgery, following four factors need to be taken into consideration:

  • The degree of complexity of the cosmetic surgery
  • Consultation fee of the surgeon which will be charged as per the number of sessions
  • Cost of anesthesia and surgical devices used in the treatment
  • Medications, injections, bandages, creams etc

A popular yet the most sophisticated type of cosmetic surgery involve the use of laser technology which prevents the skin from aging and saves it from burning due to too much sun exposure. With the laser hair removal technology, unnecessary facial and body hair can be removed away permanently. In contrast, laser also helps restoring hair on the bald areas of the body which in other words is referred to as hair transplantation.

The breast surgery is of three types—breast fit, breast enlargement and breast reduction. In breast fit, the sagging breasts are lifted up and brought back into shape. In breast enlargement, breasts are treated with implants and increased in size whereas in breast reduction, the large breasts are shrunk down to normal size.

With the growing problem of obesity, the need of liposuction is becoming obvious. This type of surgery sucks away extra fat from the abdomen and thigh areas.

Facial surgery involves lifting up the face and removing extra fat from the forehead, neck, chin and cheeks and also nose modification. Botox injection is another common form of facial surgery which prevents wrinkles from appearing on the skin. Ear pinning or technically known as Octoplaty is a novel form of cosmetic surgery which is done to reduce the distance between the head and ears.
